Man: Doc, I’m depressed. Life seems harsh and cruel. I feel all alone in a threatening world in which what lies ahead is ambiguous and uncertain.
Doctor: The treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is town tonight. Go and see him; that should pick you up.
Man (bursts into tears): But Doc, I am Pagliacci.
